North Coast
Region

Welcome to the Traffic Information web site for the North Coast Region.

The North Coast Region is one of the fastest growing region in Queensland and includes the regional councils of the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Somerset. The region will be serviced by two district offices including the Sunshine Coast District Office and the Moreton District Office.

'From Caloundra to Noosa and covering the lush countryside of the hinterland, the Sunshine Coast region is a centre for tourism, home to attractions including Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, UnderWater World, The Ettamogah Pub, the Ginger Factory, Big Pineapple and more individual national parks than any other region in Queensland.

The Moreton area has rich history. With it's proximity to Brisbane it was one of the first areas of the state opened to European settlement.

There is much more to the Somerset Region than the relaxed pace of life and the friendliness of the people. The lakes region is filled with a large array of attractions, which ensures visitors will take home something to remember from their outing to the Brisbane Valley.
