Road Works Information

Below is a list of the current road work that may affect traffic flow on major North Coast Region Roads. Click here for Main Roads Road Project Information.

Bruce Highway Cooroy

Earthworks to remove soil from centre median Bruce Highway south of Cooroy Hill South & Northbound lanes from 7/8/08 to 30/8/08 between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday. Fast lane closure and speed reductions to 40 kmh apply.

Bruce Hwy - Caboolture

Six laning of Bruce Highway between Uhlmann Road and Bribie Island Road. Widening Captain Whish bridges over the Caboolture River. Widening the Bribie Island Road overpass and installing traffic signals. Realignment of on and off ramps at the twin Service Centres near Buchanan Road. Bruce Hwy - Gympie

The next stage of the 4-laning of the Bruce Hwy has commenced between Albert Park and Channon St.

Caloundra Rd

Upgrade of Caloundra Rd to 4 lanes. Day and night works from Pierce Ave to Bruce Highway. For further details please call 1800 308 838.

David Low Way Pacific Paradise

Temporary closure of Moomba Road intersection at Pacific Paradise from 25/8/08 with day and night works to enable reconstruction of intersection. Local Traffic Diversion will be in place.

Maroochydore Road

Upgrade from Bruce Highway to Pike Street. Changed traffic conditions from Nambour Connection Road with speed reductions, lane closures may occur. For further details please call 1800 463 525.

Nicklin Way - Bokarina

19 August until 4th September. Traffic Works Nicklin Way between Bokarina and Currimundi. Commence 7p until 6am. Single lane closure with speed reductions.

Sunshine Mwy - Maroochydore to Pacific Paradise

The installation of a new roundabout on Maroochydore Road and duplication of the Sunshine Motorway from Maroochydore Road to Pacific Paradise including the duplication of the Maroochy Bridge. For further details please call 1800 681 876. Motorists are advised that the old Maroochy bridge will be open later tonight. One lane of northbound traffic will switch onto the refurbished old bridge with one lane open for southbound traffic on the new bridge. The switch is scheduled to occur some time tonight (21/08) depending on the weather.
